I

I-I'm really disappointed in Slayers Revolution orz

Everyone complains about Slayers Try, it broke canon established in the books, but still followed with anime-canon. B-but Revolution! Sword of Light! WTF is going on! Seriously bad animation!

I liked Duclis in the books (If that was his name?), but anime-Duclis is HORRIBLY animated with a constant expression of >:{, and his face-views are almost always full-on frontal, which makes his neck all WTF.

And the Sword of Light that's a fake but still can cut through the Astral Plane/whatever confuses me ):

Edit: And let's not forgot the recycled music that's at least ten years old and not even re-mixed! I don't think I've heard a Revolution original.

You know, what bugged me the most was Xellos' appearing/disappearing effects. WITH the sound. It was just...ergh.

Blame the fact that it's a new generation of anime style _._

Also, Zel's hair didn't look as metally as it did in the old ones :

...I kinda want to shout "Engage!" every time Xellos teleports. It's a total Star Trek rip-off >.>;;

The reason why I don't watch all that much new anime: this current generation is total suck. The animators have somehow gotten EVEN LAZIER.

Is it me, or have Zel (And Amelia) lost a lot of character? Never really was in love with their characters, so I might be biased but...

*Sad* After seven years and psyching myself up for it during that period, maybe my expectations were just too high.

Weeeell a lot of the new anime that's come out this season is actually pretty damn good >_> Yeah there are some that have off days BUT still I like it xD As opposed to like the really old old anime. It's really weird seeing the difference o_o...

It also depends on the style of the anime and the studio who does it. Sooo yeah. Hard to judge sometimes. But in Slayers case...merf. And Pokota? Annoying brat >_> And also Duclis? I totally agree with the whole face thing I was like "...he was a hot man, why is his beat form like...ew?"

And it's not so much that the two lost character but just screentime in general. I thought they were the same character wise though :O

Eh, I've just been unlucky then *Likes reading books/manga more anyway* Wasn't the first Slayers made in the 80s? o.o I think comparatively, it was pretty good.

I can't take Pokota seriously, if only for that noise he makes when he moves. It's all SRS MOMENT and then that wierd pew-pew sounds he makes. And Duclis broke my heart in the books, so when I saw him in the opening I was all "EEEEEEE" because what other kinda of white tiger, silver-armor wearing, axe-wielding beast-man is there? But nooooooo, it was shown in all the previous series that Beastmen could have expressions, but he just gets the constant, three-angle view of his face.

And that's good at least, concerning Zel and Amelia .__.

xD Well I'm also open more cos while art and animation play a large effect, so long as I like the story and characters I don't mind so much :O But yeah, Slayers was really good :O

DD: I've never read the novels sooo...mer.
